8th December, 2015 – HONG KONG STARS

In the lead up to this Sunday’s International meeting at Sha Tin, there was a fantastic prelude last Sunday at Sha Tin with all the leading trainers, jockeys and owners prominent in the results. John Size had four outstanding winners on the program. Two of these were produced from Limitless Lodge. Easy Hedge scored a good win at odds on for Joao Moreira in the first and was quickly followed up by So Fast, also for Joao. Both of these horses were broken in, spelled and  produced at Limitless Lodge for John Size. We are fortunate to work with many good trainers and leading industry players but there are probably none more that I respect than John. Our relationship goes back to when he was training at Randwick in Sydney and John trained Sir Clive to win the Hobartville Stakes and then run second in the AJC Derby. I purchased Sir Clive for Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa al Maktoum and carried on as his racing manager until I bought Limitless Lodge.

We also had a quinella in race 4 over 1200m of Limitless Lodge graduates that I breezed up for the Hong Kong Jockey Club at their International Sale. Both sons of Commands, Who Else But You and London Master, both look likely to train on and be very progressive through the grades. Both of these horses were broken in, spelled and prepared to race at Limitless Lodge.

8th December, 2015 – WALLABY HILL INTERNATIONAL HORSE TRIALS

Alex Townsend and her fantastic team have long had the best venue in Australian Eventing and now they have clearly the best event in Australia. They have employed the leading course designer in the world, Mike Etherington-Smith and spared no expense to produce a beautifully manicured cross country course which is a great challenge at all levels at the end of the season. Sophie was the star of our truck, with a win in the 1 star on Mercator, to finish his season in the best possible way. I had an interesting weekend with my 2 best horses. Billy continues to get fitter after his injury but was still only ever going to dressage and show jump. His test was most definitely his worst ever and he had one down showjumping. Not the best way to finish his season. It was a long way from winning a few weeks ago at Goulburn CIC*** after dressage and showjumping and the road to Rio, but none the less character building. With this very good horse I can’t wait to take him to Europe in March to show the world what he can do. Clearly this Australian Summer we have a lot of work to do. Napoleon did a terrific test to be leading and showjumped really well to just have the last down. On the cross country he was disappointing. In most of the places he felt great but in others just very green. He clearly needs to run often. He will get his chance in Europe next season.

Billy and Oaky will both compete this weekend at the Sydney Showjumping Classic at SIEC, before being turned out for a 2 week break.

24th November, 2015 – WALLER WINS AGAIN

Chris Waller did on Saturday what Chris Waller does at any given opportunity and that is win a Group 1. Good Project continued the champion trainer’s Group 1 dominance with a win in the Railway Stakes Group 1 at Ascot in WA. Good Project has always been a good horse in the making whose good record could have looked even better with a touch of luck. He was broken in and spells and pre trains at Limitless Lodge and is always a pleasure to do anything with and we are very excited for him to win a Group 1.

Other winners from the farm this weekend include:

Junoob – Ballarat Cup (Listed) for Chris Waller

Magical Beauty – Sha Tin Class 4 for Tony Cruz

Cauthan’s Power – Rosehill for Chris Waller

20th November 2015 – GV BILLY ELLIOT AND GORSEHILL STAR BOTH WITHDRAWN FROM WALLABY HILL

In what has been a frustrating end to the eventing season, I have sadly withdrawn Billy and Star from the Wallaby Hill CIC***  in early December. Star has a minor injury and will not return until the new season. Billy is perfectly fine but after a series of minor injuries he is behind in his fitness and after being so careful with his rehabilitation I wouldn’t want to take any risks at this stage. I will still probably take him to do dressage and showjumping. He will then jump in the Mini Prix at the Sydney Summer Showjumping Classic a week later. His first event that he will run cross country will be at Sydney in February prior to getting on the plane for Europe.  Now my only ride at Wallaby Hill will be Napoleon (Oaky) in the CIC***. He is in terrific form and I can’t wait to run him.

16th November, 2015 – THE SPRING CARNIVAL COMES TO A CLOSE WITH MORE STAKES WINNERS FROM LIMITLESS LODGE

After a very successful Spring Carnival, Sandown hosted the final meeting and the cream rose to the top as it always seems to do in racing. Trainers Chris Waller and Gerald Ryan had a good weekend as did super star jockey James McDonald. Who Shot Thebarman for trainer Chris Waller and James McDonald won the Group 2 Zipping Classic over 2400m in dominant fashion after a luckless run in the Melbourne Cup. Who Shot Thebarman spelled and pre trained for this preparation at Limitless Lodge and is on his way here to spell for the Summer and prepare for the Autumn. Graduates of Limitless Lodge quinellaed the Group 3 Summoned Stakes with Solicit for Gerald Ryan being a dominant winner over She’s Clean for Chris Waller. Both these horses spell and pre train on the aquaciser at Limitless Lodge.  Telepathic scored a very well deserved win in the last at Rosehill on Saturday carrying a huge weight on a very heavy track. Telepathic has been luckless at her first 2 runs back and thoroughly deserved her victory. She is owned by Gerry Harvey and trained by Chris Waller.  Two of our biggest supporters. Telepathic spells and pre trains at Limitless Lodge.

10th November, 2015 – LIMITLESS LODGE GRADUATES TRIFECTA THE GROUP 1 DARLEY CLASSIC AT FLEMINGTON

In a thrilling finish to the biggest sprint race of the Spring, Delectation stuck his nose out to narrowly defeat Chautauaqua and Terravista. Delectation has always been a tricky horse and the straight six of Flemington suits him perfectly. In fact we told Chris Waller that he would need gelding after only being home from the yearling sales for 2 weeks as he was so tricky and uncooperative. Delectation has continued to be a difficult customer but allowed to run straight he is clearly very good. Chautauaqua, on the other hand, was always a beautiful and a straight forward horse in his early education and to this day. Terravista is an equally lovely horse who is fantastic to do everything with and gives his all always. So in this case the bad guy beat the 2 good guys…….but only narrowly! Delectation winning continued the sensational form of champion trainer Chris Waller.

5th November, 2015 – EVENTING SEASON WINDING DOWN

After a successful season, my team have only 1 further target and that is Wallaby Hill CIC*** in the first week of December. Unfortunately I have nothing heading towards Adelaide this year. It is always a great event. I do think that Alex Townsend and her team are going to turn on a magic show at Wallaby Hill. One of the most exciting things about the event  is that Mike Etherington Smith is designing the tracks. It will be Billy’s first run back and I can’t wait to run him. He is in tip top shape. It was great to be winning after dressage and showjumping at Goulburn CIC*** beating all the hot shots heading towards Adelaide and campaigning for Rio. I was never going to run him cross country at Goulburn. It was just an important stepping stone. Joining him at Wallaby Hill will be Napoleon and Gorsehill Star.

It is still my intention to take Napoleon and Billy Elliot to England in March to campaign for a spot on the Australian Team in Rio. I am looking forward to the adventure!

2nd November 2015 – JAPONISME WINS THE GROUP 1 COOLMORE STAKES ON DERBY DAY AT FLEMINGTON

For the third year in a row, champion trainer Chris Waller produced the winner of this very important race. Japonisme will not join his fellow winners Zoustar and Brazen Beau into the breeding barn as he was gelded before he started this preparation. I don’t think there will be any regrets however as his form has improved amazingly. What he does share with the previous 2 winners is that he was broken in and prepared to race at Limitless Lodge.

There was strong racing everywhere on Derby Day and Limitless Lodge was proud to have pre trained Dance Of Heroes and Religify for Chris Waller to return to winning form at Randwick.

27th October, 2015 – WINX AND CHAUTAUQUA COMPLETELY DOMINATE GROUP 1 RACING AT MOONEE VALLEY

Winx won the Cox Plate Group 1 for champion trainer Chris Waller in record time on Saturday defeating a star studded field including Criterion who ran second. Both of these horses were broken in and spelled and pre trained at Limitless Lodge. Very exciting to see them being so fantastic. Chautauqua for Team Hawkes was equally devastating winning the Group 1 Manikato Stakes at Moonee Valley on Friday night. Chautauqua was broken in and spelled and pre trained at Limitless Lodge.

Other winners to be prepared by Limitless Lodge from the weekend were:

Our Voodoo Prince – Moonee Valley

Electrifyin’ - Canterbury

Bamboo Dance – Sha Tin

Bold Circle - Randwick

Star Turn - Randwick

Mr Manhattan - Randwick

Rockolicious - Randwick

The best week of racing is coming up at Flemington and we are looking forward to many winners. We wish all our supportive owners and trainers the very best of luck!

12th October, 2015 - WEEKEND WINNERS

Following on from the excitement of Winx winning the Group 1 Epsom Handicap last week, graduates of Limitless Lodge excelled at the highest level again this weekend. Chris Waller won 2 Group 1 races in 2 states and both were prepared at Limitless Lodge. Van Brugh won the Group 1 Spring Champion Stakes at Randwick. He was broken in and always spells and pre trains at the farm. Press Statement prepared for his Spring campaign on the aquaciser and track at Limitless Lodge and was dominant in winning the Group 1 Caulfield Guineas. Criterion won the Group 1 Caulfield Stakes for David Hayes. Criterion was broken in and did all his early pre training and spelling at Limitless Lodge. Three very exciting horses with more to come this Spring. Other winners for the farm on the weekend were Amovatio (Chris Waller) at Flemington, Unbeatable Guts (Peter Ho) and Leading Horse (Peter Ho) both at Sha Tin.

14th September, 2015 – WEEKEND WINNERS

Another huge weekend of racing has kicked off the Spring Carnival with several top class winners from our leading trainers. Two of Sydney’s favourite mares recorded sensational wins for Chris Waller. Catkins returned in brilliant shape to win the Group 3 Sheraco Stakes 1200m and keep her outstanding fresh record intact. She got out to the amazingly generous odds of 6/1. She is always genuine and is the most gorgeous mare to have anything to do with in every way. Everyone at our farm was genuinely thrilled  to see her win. Catkins was broken in and always spells and pre trains at Limitless Lodge for Chris Waller and the Ingham Family. Winx was an outstanding win in the Group 2 Theo Marks Stakes over 1300m for Chris Waller. She was last with a furlong to go and sprouted wings to score in the last stride. She is now the dominant favourite for the Group 1 Epsom Handicap in 3 weeks. Winx was broken in and always spells and pre trains at Limitless Lodge for Chris Waller. God’s In Him won over 1400m for Team Hawkes first up after a spell. We are very happy about this as he has done most of his work in the aquaciser at the farm. He was broken in and always spells and pre trains at the farm. Good Project won over 1200m for Chris Waller. He is a very genuine horse and is probably better than his record suggests. I’m sure he will progress to better races over the Spring. Good Project freshened up here after Queensland and always spells and pre trains at the farm. Amicus won the Group 2 Let’s Elope Stakes at Flemington for champion trainer Chris Waller. She was broken in and always spells and pre trains at the farm.

26th August, 2015 – EVENTERS HEADING TO MELBOURNE

We are taking a truck load of horses this weekend to Melbourne for Werribee International CIC. I will have Gorsehill Star in the 3 star. I will also have Billy in the 3 star who will just do the dressage in his come back to competition. Wild Duchess will be having her first run in Australia for me in the 1 star. At our last start she was 3rd in the CIC* at Ballindenisk, Ireland. She has got masses of ability in all phases and I can’t wait to run her. She will be heading towards Adelaide CCI** in November. Sophie will run Umunga and Mercator Du Ry in the 2 star.

26th August, 2015 – LORD LIMMERICK WINS BRITISH INTERMEDIATE CHAMPIONSHIPS AT GATCOMBE

Lord Limmerick, now known as Noteworthy, has just won the British Intermediate Championships at Gatcombe for new rider Oliver Townend. Lord Limmerick was sold after the end of the British Eventing season in 2014 and has had a terrific season with Oli. In his last run before Gatcombe he ran 3rd in the Advanced at Aston-Le-Walls. He now heads towards an Autumn CCI***.

Sprout was a fantastic part of my team for the last 3 seasons and I was sad to leave him in England but am very buoyed by his now constant good results. Some of Sprout's best results  in Australia included -

1st Wallaby Hill Express Eventing 2014

1st Wallaby Hill CNC** 2014

2nd Sydney CNC*** 2014

3rd Sydney CNC*** 2013

2nd Melbourne CCI** 2013

3rd Sydney CCI** 2013

1st Quirindi CNC** 2013

25th August, 2015 – QUEENSLAND INTERNATIONAL CCI

I have just returned from a quick trip to Queensland where I inspected the course for the upcoming new event on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. This is going to be a fantastic event at a really good facility. It is the brain child of Peter Fitzgerald and being promoted by Cameron Osborne. I will certainly be taking horses to the event and encourage fellow competitors from NSW to consider adding this event to your calendar.

24th August, 2015 – WEEKEND WINNERS

It was fantastic to see Royal Descent win the Group 2 Warwick Stakes for champion trainer Chris Waller and Gerry Harvey. Both are huge supporters of Limitless Lodge and it was great for Royal Descent to prove what we all know, that she is the best mare currently racing in Australia. She was given a lovely run by Hugh Bowman and while there were many good runs in the race she was clearly superior. Royal Descent spelled after the Autumn at Limitless Lodge and did her pre training in the aquaciser, dressage arena and training track at the farm. She looks set for a great Spring. Chris had another 2 winners that were both broken in, spelled and pre trained at Limitless Lodge – Amicus (Group 3 Toy Show Quality) and Loop Hole (Benchmark 81).

At Kembla there were a further 2 winners from the farm – Boutique Baby (Angela Davies) and Fira (Peter and Paul Snowden) were both broken in and pre trained at the farm. Both have built imposing winning records in their short careers to date.

17th August, 2015 – GROUP 3 SAN DOMENICO STAKES

Graduates of Limitless Lodge quinellad the first Stakes race for 3 year olds for the new season. Japonisme won for champion trainer Chris Waller and the Ingham Family. Japonisme was broken in and always spells and pre trains at the farm. King’s Troop ran 2nd for Gerald Ryan which was a terrific result considering his relative inexperience. King’s Troop always pre trains at the farm. Both horses look likely to feature heavily during the Spring.

28th July, 2015 – GOOD WEEKEND AT SYDNEY EVENTING

Napoleon and Gorsehill Star both upgraded to Advanced on the weekend and I could not have been happier with their performances. Napoleon (Oaky)  ran 2nd with a double clear and Gorsehill Star (Star) ran 3rd with a fast double clear. These horses will now head towards Tamworth CIC*** in 3 weeks. August 15 and 16. Special thanks to event sponsors Ariat and Randwick Equine Centre who are also big supporters of my team.

8th July, 2015 - LIMITLESS LODGE GROUP 1 WINNERS

As the racing season draws to a close, we like to take the opportunity to look back at the many top class horses that have filled our barns and paddocks over the last 12 months. We do this every year and surprise even ourselves with the wonderful horses that we have had for all the leading trainers. Ofcourse, our closest relationship is with Chris Waller and Team Hawkes and many of our winners and Group 1 winners are for these 2 leading stables. In Australia each year there are 71 Group 1 races conducted and graduates from the barns and paddocks of Limitless Lodge have won 20 this season.

Statistically that means 28% of all the Group 1 winners in Australia this year have come from Limitless Lodge. This is a result that we are very proud of indeed. We are very aware that we are lucky to have such good trainers and owners as clients who give us these top class horses. We absolutely feel that we give every horse every chance to be the best that it can possibly be.

The statistic of 28% of Group 1 winners coming from the farm is exactly in line with the last 3 racing seasons in Australia. Further to our 20 Group 1 winners, we have also had 18 Group 2 winners and 19 Group 3 winners. In addition to the superstars, we regularly, on a Saturday produce 4 of the 8 winners. Some of the stars that have been produced from the farm this year include :

Brazen Beau

Winx

Chautauqua

Deep Field

Catkins

Headwater

He's Your Man

Terravista

Criterion

Press Statement

Kermadec

Winx winning the 2015 Queensland Oaks in dominant fashion

Winx was bought by Chris Waller as a yearling and given to us to break in and always spells and pre trains at the farm. She is currently on the aquaciser preparing for the Melbourne Spring Carnival.

8th June, 2015 – NAPOLEON WINS MELBOURNE CCI**

Very pleased with Napoleon today winning the CCI** at Melbourne International Horse Trials.
Big thank you to the event organisers and sponsors, Saddleworld and Horseware Ireland for making it such a fantastic competition. Where else would you rather be than sunny Melbourne on the June long weekend!
Must also take this opportunity to thank my very supportive sponsors - Ariat Australia, Ceva Animal Health and Rosehip Vital Equine.
Better not forget Napoleon's stable mate, Gorsehill Star who came 3rd in the same class, finishing on his dressage score as well.

Sophie also had a good weekend and finished 18th in the CCI* on Umunga in a very big field. Her next start will be at 2 star level at Sydney in July.

18th May, 2015 - QUIRINDI HORSE TRIALS

Quirindi is a fantastic country event that now draws big numbers from everywhere. The weather was beautiful and the ground could not have been better. Napoleon and Gorsehill Star had a great hit out prior to Melbourne 3DE and ran 4th and 5th in the 2 star. Umunga went well for Soph and they produced their best result so far, to finish in 6th in the 1 star.

Meanwhile, in New Zealand Shane Rose won the individual CCI*** at Taupo and Australia won the team challenge comfortably !

18th May, 2015 - WEEKEND WINNERS

Scone held their stand alone meeting over the weekend which was a major success, blessed with bumper crowds and beautiful autumn sunshine. That's A Good Idea won the Listed Ortensia Stakes 1100m for trainer Peter Snowden. It was a very strong field and a dominant win. That's A Good Idea was broken in and prepared to race at Limitless Lodge.

Chris Waller had a good day at Scone winning with Avonaco. He had an even better day on the Sunshine Coast where he won the 2 main races. Index Linked won the Listed Caloundra Cup over 2400m with a beautiful ride from Damian Browne. Winx was the win of the day, winning the Group 3 Sunshine Coast Guineas over 1600m. She was last turning for home and with an incredible turn of foot won by 2 lengths untouched. All of Chris's horses were pre trained at Limitless Lodge.

13th May, 2015 - HUGE WEEKEND OF WINNERS

The winners flowed everywhere for graduates of Limitless Lodge.

The best racing was at Doomben where we had 3 winners. Hot Snitzel won the Group 1 BTC Cup over 1200m for Peter Snowden after being freshened up on the aquaciser at the farm. Chris Waller has new favourites for the Group 1 Derby and Group 1 Oaks with Ballet Suite and Sadler's Lake. These 2 were very dominant and their Saturday Group 3 wins should be converted to Group 1 wins at their next start. Both were broken in at Limitless Lodge and prepared to race at the farm.

At Flemington the big 2yo race was won by Bel Chandon. This Bel Espirit filly was broken in at the farm for Rhys Smith. Rhys and I have a 100% success rate of Saturday winners to runners. These winners include Zoustar, Mamwaazel, Dupe Em and now Bel Chandon.

At Sha Tin in Hong Kong, Dr Good Habit won for trainer John Size and Joao Moreira a Class 2 event over 1400m. This son of Tale Of The Cat was broken in at the farm for John Size and won his first 5 starts in Hong Kong and climbed very high in the ratings and has carried on to be a very handy Class

2 horse. He also spelled and pre trained at the farm prior to going to Hong Kong on the same shipment as Luger (The Derby winner who we also broke in).

Both of these horses were sourced by Australia's best bloodstock agent, John Foote.

The day started with a bang for Gerald Ryan who won the 2yo Open 1100m with Sky Clad. This beautiful son of Snitzel has a great action and fantastic temperament. He was pre trained prior to this preparation at Limitless Lodge. Gerald also had a win with Solicit in the Group 3 Darley Crown. This was a great comeback win for this mare who had seemingly lost all form. She has most recently been in the paddock during the day and on the aquaciser in the morning at Limitless Lodge. Sense And Reason won for champion trainer Chris Waller over 1100m in a BM80. She won at good odds and has always been genuine without winning too many. She has been pre trained and spelled at Limitless Lodge. You'll Never won for Chris Waller first up after a good spell. You'll Never was broken in, pre trained and spelled at Limitless Lodge. The conditions were perfect for You'll Never who has bad feet. He loved the sting out of the track and being fresh up. We are very happy for his loyal owner, Don Storey.

7th May, 2015 – GV BILLY ELLIOT WITHDRAWN FROM AUSTRALIAN TEAM

Billy has unfortunately picked up a minor injury in the last few days leading up to the team travelling to New Zealand and has been withdrawn from the competition. Billy’s replacement has not yet been announced.

It is in Billy’s long term best interest to have a short break now before returning to full work. On my website I will keep you up to date with his progress.  He remains my number one choice to ride at next years’ Rio Olympics.

5th May, 2015 – SYDNEY INTERNATIONAL 3 DAY EVENT

The organisers of Sydney 3 day event were very fortunate to be able to run at all after 2 weeks of solid rain and storms in Sydney. Indeed, several of us were very lucky to get there as the flood waters subsided. Needless to say the ground on the cross country, which is almost always perfect at Sydney, became bottomless and very hard work for the horses.

Napoleon was the star of our team and ran 3rd in the CCI** and handled the conditions well. Sophie had a good run on Umunga and now heads towards Melbourne CCI**. Gorsehill Star was in super shape but I had gone out way too hard trying to chase my minute markers and he ran out of gas with 3 fences to go which was a big shame as he was jumping and galloping great. He will now head towards Melbourne CCI***.

28th April, 2015 - TIM AND BILLY HEADING TO TAUPO CCI*** ON THE AUSTRALIAN TEAM

Following Camden Eventing Equestriad, the Australian selectors announced the team for the Trans Tasman Challenge to be held at Taupo in New Zealand on 14th to 17th May.

The team is -     Tim Boland            GV Billy Elliot (NSW)

                          Shane Rose           CP Qualified (NSW)

                          Katja Weimann       BP Cosmopolitan (VIC)

                         Jessica Manson       Legal Star (WA)

The training camp starts next Friday and the team flies out on Monday 11th May at 8pm from Sydney airport. Taupo is a beautiful venue with a tough cross country track that will be a strong challenge for everybody. We will keep you posted as we go. It will be quite unusual being away for 10 days and only having 1 horse to ride. Billy is in good shape after his run at Camden and I can't wait to get to New Zealand. I last competed there in 2003 at Puhinui CCI*** on Limitless and Kildonan Tug.

27th April, 2015 - LIMITLESS LODGE SURVIVES THE STORM

We were very lucky at the farm that all the horses, people and equipment were unharmed after a week of dreadful weather. We were without power for 6 days and were flooded in for 3 days. A huge thankyou to my wonderful staff, headed by Adam Stewart and Annabel Zeisler for keeping the show on the road.

It is in times like this that you see the cream rise to the top and my senior staff were outstanding in every way. We feel very sorry for the many people and farms that were badly affected by this terrible storm. We remember only too well the floods of 2007 and the devastation it brought to our farm. Torryburn Stud, one of our major clients, was severely affected and we hope they manage to get back on their feet quickly.

21st April, 2015 - EVENTING EQUESTRIAD AT CAMDEN

620 horses, a record, competed last weekend at Camden. All the big guns were there on their best horses. Shane Rose ended up winning on Virgil and I was 2nd on Billy. I was absolutely delighted with how he went in all three phases. We will now wait to see if he has done enough to be selected on the Australian team. Gorsehill Star continued his good form and ran 5th in the 2 star which was a very big strong field. He will now head towards Sydney

CCI** and Melbourne CCI***.

14th April, 2015 - EVENTING TEAM HEADS TO EQUESTRIAD

After a quiet start to the season, with rock hard ground and few events, it will be great to be eventing again this weekend at The Eventing Equestriad at Camden. All the stars will be there with their best horses as a final hit out before Sydney CCI*** and Taupo CCI***. I will have Billy (GV Billy Elliot) and Oaky (Napoleon) in the 3 star. Gorsehill Star will run in the 2 strar. Soph will run Mercator at his first 2 star start for 2 months and Umunga in the 1 star which will be his first run for her.

14th April, 2015 - THE CHAMPIONSHIPS

The Championships at Royal Randwick over the last 2 weekends has been a major success on every level. There has been top quality racing with all the leading industry players, jockeys, trainers, owners, agents and racegoers gathering in Sydney for a very busy week. The Inglis Easter Sales were sandwiched between the 2 great days and was a very busy time for all concerned. Easter Saturday was washed out and the racing transferred to Easter Monday. The 2 highlights were Kermadec winning The Doncaster Mile Group 1 for Chris Waller and Glen Boss and Chatauqua winning the TJ Smith Stakes Group 1 for M, W and J Hawkes and Tommy Berry. The richest race of the whole carnival was run on Saturday, The Queen Elizabeth 2000m Group 1 and was won by Criterion for trainer David Hayes and jockey Craig Williams. Delectation won the Group 2 Arrowfield 3yo 1200m sprint in dominant fashion for trainer Chris Waller. He has always been a tricky horse but was magnificently handled by Hugh Bowman's soft hands.

We are proud to have been associated with these great horses and trainers and to come away with 3 Group 1 winners is very satisfying. The Carnival hasn't finished yet. The Champagne Stakes Group 1 and the All Aged Stakes Group 1 round out The Carnival this Saturday.

Kermadec - Chris Waller Group 1 Doncaster Mile                       Spelled, aquaciser and pre trained at Limitless Lodge

Chatauqua - M, W and J Hawkes Group 1 TJ Smith Stakes       Broken in, spelled and pre trained at Limitless Lodge

Criterion - David Hayes Group 1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes           Broken in, spelled and pre trained at Limitless Lodge

Delectation - Chris Waller Group 2 Arrowfield 3yo Sprint             Broken in, spelled and pre trained at Limitless Lodge

10th April, 2015 - INGLIS EASTER SALES

Almost every major player in international racing converged on the William Inglis complex for their major sale. The sale was a success on every level. The average was up significantly as was the median. There were plenty of buyers in the $500k - $1 million range which provided great competition for the best yearlings with the best pedigrees.

We were fortunate enough to receive 22 horses directly from the sale and with others to follow in the coming weeks it is going to be very busy at Limitless Lodge. Our trainers who always support us continue to do so and we appreciate that very much - Chris Waller, M, W and J Hawkes, Gerald Ryan and John Size.

1st April, 2015 - TIM'S SPONSORS

I am very proud to be sponsored by three great companies who have been loyal and incredibly supportive for many seasons. I get asked to try many different products and services and I am very selective about what I use and especially what I endorse.

Ceva Nature Vet have been with me for almost twenty years. The products that I use regularly have not changed in that time. My horses are all on weekly pentosan during the season, as I believe is almost every other top horse in the country. The secret weapon I believe is Tranquil which is a must for some of my hot horses in the leadup to the dressage, especially on Billy. Please check out their website - www.ceva.com.au

Ariat joined my team in 2012 following my win at Melbourne 3DE and have been a fantastic help ever since then. All day long I wear their work boots (Ariat Men's Terrain Boots) and when I ride, I ride in their Top Boots. When I travel all my saddles and bridles are transported in Ariat bags as is all my gear. Ariat really are the complete outfitters for all things equestrian. Please check out their website - www.justcountry.com.au

Rosehip Vital Equine was introduced to me 3 years ago and since then it goes everywhere with me and my horses. This is a natural product produced in Australia and everyone is sitting up and taking notice now. Not just horse owners but dog owners and humans alike. It is a easy to digest, extremely palatible supplement that has major benefits for helping with the symptoms of arthiritis and loss of mobility. All of my horses live on this product and I can not recommend it highly enough. Please check out their website - www.rosehipvital.com.au

17th March , 2015 - GV BILLY ELLIOT AND TIM HAVE BEEN SELECTED ON THE AUSTRALIAN SQUAD TO TRAVEL TO NEW ZEALAND FOR THE TRANS TASMAN AT TAUPO IN MAY

While it is an honour to be selected on any Australian team, I am undecided as to whether I will travel to NZ with Billy or not. He had a big year in Europe last year and I am keen to go back to Europe for the European summer season with him and Napoleon. Ideally I will run Billy at Sydney CCI*** in the first week of May.

Billy has only had the one run so far this season to finish 2nd at Sydney in February. His next run will be at Camden Eventing Equestriad in mid April.

The final selected team will be announced after Camden Eventing Equestriad on April 22.

16th March, 2015 - LUGER WINS THE GROUP 1 HONG KONG DERBY

John Size produced one of the most remarkable training performances ever to win the Hong Kong Derby on Sunday. Ridden by Zac Purton, Luger sat 3 wide for the duration of the race and was having only his second start in 5 months and first go over the Derby distance of 2,000m. There are not too many trainers in the world capable of producing this performance. There was not one excuse for the beaten brigade. Luger will be remembered as one of the bravest and most brilliant winners of the Derby ever. He now takes his record to 10 starts for 7 wins and 2 seconds.

Luger was purchased by John Foote and  broken in, pre trained, spelled and prepared to race at Limitless Lodge. John does not take many 2 year olds to Hong Kong but I suggested to him that this horse was a likely 2 yo type. John produced him to be champion Griffin 2 seasons ago and he has been carefully produced since then following significant injury problems. The sky is the limit for Luger.

16th March, 2015 - BRAZEN BEAU WINS THE GROUP 1 NEWMARKET HANDICAP

Brazen Beau was sensational on Saturday winning the Newmarket Handicap against a very strong and competitive group of superstar sprinters. Trained by Chris Waller and ridden to perfection by Jao Moriera Brazen Beau kicked away to score a dominant win from Chautauqua (Hawkes) and Terravista (Pride). All of these stars have been broken in and/or pre trained at Limitless Lodge. The one standout quality of these 3 horses I remember is their fantastic temperament. All are very professional and easy to deal with and save their best for race day.

Brazen Beau now looks likely to head to Royal Ascot in June and the other 2 will head to Sydney for The Championships.

16th March, 2015 - GROUP 3 KEITH NOLAN CLASSIC WON BY SLIGHTLY SWEET

Graduates of Limitless Lodge ran the quinella on Friday in the mare's classic at Kembla. Slightly Sweet, trained by Jason Coyle and beautifully ridden by Kathy O'Hara defeated Wine Tales trained by Chris Waller and ridden by Jim Cassidy.  Both these high class fillies were significantly superior to the opposition and cleared out to fight a very close finish and be separated by a nose after a photo. Both of these fillies were broken in and produced to race at Limitless Lodge.

16th March, 2015 - WEEKEND WINNERS KEEP FLOWING FROM LIMITLESS LODGE

There were many winners from the farm over the weekend, apart from the Group 1 successes. In no particular order these were highlighted by :

Amorino at Flemington 1400m Listed for Archie Alexander - broken in, pre trained and spelled

Index Linked at Yarra Valley 2000m Cup for Chris Waller - pre trained, spelled and rehabilitated

Winx at Rosehill Phar Lap Stakes 1500m Group 2 for Chris Waller - broken in, pre trained and spelled

23rd February, 2015 - RANDWICK EQUINE CENTRE SUMMER EVENTING CLASSIC

It is great to have Billy (GV Billy Elliot) back in action and feeling so good. He won the dressage and I had a steady double clear to run 2nd in the 3 star behind Shane Rose and Virgil. I couldn't be happier with how he is progressing. His next run will more than likely be at Scone in a fortnight. At this stage his goal will be Sydney CCI***.

Napoleon had his first full 3 star and was excellent. He was 5th after dressage with over 70%. Lots of room to improve but very classy none the less. Going across country I had a run out to the right at an early arrowhead combination. I was not alone. The first 4 horses all did the same thing. He picked himself up and was class everywhere else. He then showjumped clear. He will now head towards Scone CNC*** in a fortnight. At this stage his goal will be Melbourne CCI***.

Gorsehill Star continues to improve and impress with consistently good results. In the 2 star he did a very good dressage test to be 8th in a strong field. He then went double clear and ended up 3rd. He will next run at Scone in 2 weeks. He will run at Sydney CCI** and then Melbourne CCI***.

Sophie had a good weekend. She was having her first run on my advanced horse Umunga and he went super. As he is just coming back after a long spell she only did the dressage and jumping. He looked fantastic in every way and is now ready to push on. Sophie's grand warrior Mercator Du Ry was fantastic in the 1 star and finished 5th. Both will now head towards Melbourne CCI**.

23rd February, 2015 - WEEKEND WINNERS

There were winners everywhere from Limitless Lodge over the extended weekend. Headwater shot to outright favouritism for the Golden Slipper for Team Hawkes after winning the Group 2 Silver Slipper. He was pre trained and prepared to race at the farm and looks a very dominant favourite at this stage. One of our favourite mares, Catkins, for Chris Waller and the Ingham Family won the Group 2 Millie Fox Stakes over 1300m. This beautiful mare just knows how to win and always gives of her best. Catkins was broken in and always spells and pre trains at the farm.

Other winners over the weekend were:

Expectation (Waller) rehabilitated, spelled and pre trained

Rajamani (Hawkes) broken in, spelled and pre trained

Loophole (Waller) broken in, spelled and pre trained

Just A Girl (Griffith) spelled and pre trained

Lanikai (Ryan) spelled and pre trained

20th February, 2015 - ARIAT SUMMER EVENTING CLASSIC

The Limitless Lodge eventing team had a successful day yesterday at the Ariat Sydney Summer Eventing Classic. Tim's three were all on form with GV Billy Elliot winning the 3 star combined training on a score of 33.5.

Napoleon stepped up, coming 3rd in the same class, having his first go at 3 star level, and Gorsehill Star placed 4th in the 1 star with a steady double clear.

Soph and the lovely Mercator Du Ry had a good win in the 105, and are looking forward to the 1 star on the weekend.

Big thanks to super groom Rachel Watts for making the day run perfectly!

Tomorrow we do it all again at the Randwick Equine Centre Sydney Summer Eventing Classic.

20th February, 2015 - WEEKEND RUNNERS

This weekend the racing is highlighted by the Group 1 Black Caviar Lightning Stakes at Flemington.   Two of the six runners have been prepared to race at Limitless Lodge. Deep Field, Team Hawkes, is  searching for his first Group 1 and is aiming to protect his unbeaten record and make it 6 from 6.  Brazen Beau, Chris Waller, is already a winner down the Flemington straight having won the Group 1 Coolmore Stakes. When you throw into the mix, the champion sprinter Lankan Rupee, it will be a fantastic race.

10th February, 2015 - WEEKEND WINNERS

Catkins never lets anybody down. She is a beautiful mare who has been a credit to Chris Waller's training. She once again won the Group 2 Breeder's Classic at Rosehill. She was extremely tough as always. She took her winnings to over $1.2 million on Saturday. Catkins was broken in and always spells and pre trains on the farm. Click here to see Catkins on the water walker leading into this preparation.

Other winners produced from Limitless Lodge on the weekend were:-

Supreme Profit (Danny Shum) at Sha Tin

Runway Star (Peter Moody) at Sandown

      Mineko (Gerald Ryan) at Canterbury

10th February, 2015 - EVENTERS BACK IN ACTION AT WALLABY HILL

With the recent injury to Wild Duchess, my team is reduced to 3 advanced horses. I chose Wallaby Hill for their first hit out of 2015 and it was a perfect weekend to get started. The sun was shining and the ground was absolutely perfect. GV Billy Elliot (Billy) led the dressage but had to be withdrawn after pulling a shoe off and putting the toe clip through his sole. He is fine but will now have his first start at Sydney in 2 weeks.

Napoleon (Oaky) was second after the dressage, had one down showjumping and had a steady cross country round to finish second. I was very pleased with that. Gorsehill Star (Star) finished 9th after finishing on his dressage score. I was delighted with him and now look forward to Sydney CCI** and then Melbourne CCI*** with him.

8th February, 2015 - WILD DUCHESS OUT INJURED

In a devastating blow, my new import Wild Duchess is lame and will be out for atleast the first half of the season. It is still my intention to campaign her towards Adelaide CCI** in early November. She will undergo an intensive rehabilitation program including the water walker.

3rd February, 2015 - WEEKEND WINNERS

It was another great weekend for graduates of Limitless Lodge. This was highlighted by the win of Weary in the Group 2 Expressway Stakes 1200m at Rosehill on Saturday. Trained by champion trainer, Chris Waller, Weary was sensational over the last 100m scraping paint along the fence with Tommy Berry on board. Weary had spelled and pre trained at the farm. As Chris has mentioned several times in the media, Weary is a very very tricky horse. Everyone at Limitless Lodge was very satisfied that all the work had paid off and were especially happy for his owners who have been very patient.

Fireworks for Gerald Ryan and prominent owner, John Camilleri were the standout winners of the Group 3 Widden Stakes over 1100m. John and Gerald are both very loyal supporters of the farm and it was great to see the satisfaction that only winning can bring. Fireworks is a very light filly so it was a great training achievement by Gerald. Fireworks was broken in, spelled and pre trained at Limitless Lodge. She is indeed back here at the farm going on the aquaciser in the morning and the paddock all day after that. It is yet to be decided if she pushes on to the Golden Slipper.

Jet Wings won over 1000m (C3) at Sha Tin on Sunday for trainer Richard Gibson. Since transferring from Gerald Ryan to Hong Kong he has won his only 2 starts convincingly. He looks destined for Class 1. Jet Wings was broken in, spelled and pre trained at the farm.

The racing is getting better every week now with all the stars trialling and preparing for The Carnival and The Championships. We will keep you posted with our insights on the stars throughout The Carnival.

Weary blasts through on the rail to win The Expressway Stakes

16th January, 2015 – 2015 EVENTING SEASON STARTS SOON

This year my plan is to have a small elite team of outstanding horses - three advanced and one intermediate.

At this stage we will kick off the season at Wallaby Hill in early February and aim them all at Sydney CCI*** and CCI**.

GV Billy Elliot had a great season in Europe in 2014 and will certainly aim at Sydney CCI*** as opposed to the Trans Tasman at Taupo in New Zealand in May.

Napoleon and Gorsehill Star will probably do the CCI** at Sydney and then head towards Melbourne CCI***.

Wild Duchess will be taken along slowly and first of all will do another CCI* at Sydney and then aim at Melbourne CCI**.

We will then make plans as to whether we head to Europe again for the English summer season. I don’t like to get too far ahead of myself with planning.

Certainly my best chances to make the Australian Team for Rio are clearly Billy (GV Billy Elliot) and Oaky (Napoleon).  Diva (Wild Duchess) and Star (Gorsehill Star) will be great support acts.

I certainly can’t wait to kick off eventing in 2015.

16th January, 2015 – OUR FIRST FOAL IS BORN FOR 2015

We are not big breeders here at Limitless Lodge at all.  In fact we only have two broodmares and the second of these, Fifi was the first filly foal born of our first mare Paris.  Fifi has produced a lovely leggy filly by the super sire of Gilbert Boekmann’s Christian.  Sophie has already named the filly foal as Coco.  Mother and baby are doing well.  Coco’s grandmother is about to produce another foal in the next two weeks by Grafenstolz which will make it a full sibling to Fifi.  Photos of three generations in the paddock at Limitless Lodge today:

16th January, 2015 – RANDWICK RUNNERS FROM LIMITLESS LODGE THIS WEEKEND

I have been remiss over the summer in updating weekend winners but there have been plenty.  The most notable has been the star sprinter, Our Boy Malachi (M, W and J Hawkes) who has been sensational in winning big sprint races in very good time. He will now be given his chance in Group One company over the Brisbane winter.  He is currently here spelling and commences work on the aquaciser on Monday.

15th January, 2015 – THE CHAMPIONSHIPS ARE NOT FAR AWAY

As everybody in racing knows, the Sydney Autumn Carnival is now highlighted by The Championships.  The prize money is fantastic and all the top horses are being lured to compete almost exclusively in Sydney.

We have been lucky enough to have some of these top horses prepare for the carnival at our farm – both on the track and in the pool.  Indeed we posted a video of several star fillies and mares on the aquaciser and within a week we had had more than a million views.

Some of the stars that we have pre-trained for this carnival are Adelaide (Chris Waller), Deep Field (M, W and J Hawkes), Mossfun (M, W and J Hawkes) and Kermadec (Chris Waller).  All of these stars feel in fantastic shape to show the racing world how good they really are….!

14th January, 2015 – MAGIC MILLIONS YEARLINGS START ARRIVING

As usual our biggest trainers have been very active at the sales and have bought a large team of horses that will be broken in at the farm over the coming months.

Certainly Chris Waller, Team Hawkes and Gerald Ryan have very good eyes for a nice horse.  It is a pleasure dealing with these top trainers as they totally leave it up to me and my team to organise their education and spelling before joining their racing stables.  There are still several sales to go and we look forward to seeing the progeny always of the first season sires.  Sepoy especially has taken everybody’s interest with his yearlings on the Gold Coast.

Champion trainer Chris Waller combined with Hong Kong’s 13 time champion Douglas Whyte to win the Kingston Town Classic run over 1800m at Ascot on Saturday. It was a beautiful ride from Dougie on a horse that was placed to perfection. Moriarty spells and pre trains at the farm, often doing dressage and jumping. After his long truck trip back from Perth he will be in the paddock at Limitless Lodge on Wednesday afternoon for a freshen up before heading towards the Autumn.
