Champion trainer Chris Waller combined with Hong Kong’s 13 time champion Douglas Whyte to win the Kingston Town Classic run over 1800m at Ascot on Saturday. It was a beautiful ride from Dougie on a horse that was placed to perfection. Moriarty spells and pre trains at the farm, often doing dressage and jumping. After his long truck trip back from Perth he will be in the paddock at Limitless Lodge on Wednesday afternoon for a freshen up before heading towards the Autumn.

Terravista for Team Torryburn and Joe Pride, Chautauqua for Edwina Throsby and Team Hawkes. Both of these horses were an absolute pleasure to do anything with and it was very exciting to see them fight out the finish in this great race.

Diva will compete next at Equitana (Melbourne) in the Exhibition Eventing on Thursday November 20. I have just under 3 weeks to prepare her but she will be fine.

7th October, 2014 - SOPHIE IN ENGLAND
My girlfriend Sophie Adams has had a successful and busy end to the British Eventing season. Soph has been a wonderful support to me and my team. Since I have returned to Australia following Ballendenisk 3 day event Soph has carried on with her team. She has been eventing and showjumping Nevada Ned and Gorsehill Star for Waratah Equestrian Pty Ltd. She has also had 4 other catch rides at the most recent events. She has been riding Just Mary II, Pauldarys Tiger Two Sox, Just The Thing and Posh Patrick. Soph's last event will be at Pulborough on the 10th October with a big team. Soph will then return home to Limitless Lodge and sunshine.
2nd October, 2014 - EVENTERS RETURNING HOME FROM ENGLAND
After a successful season in England I have decided to bring my horses back to Australia before making a plan for next year. I am exceptionally happy with how my team performed whilst on tour in Europe. Billy has successfully returned from injury and is now ready to push on full steam ahead to the Rio Olympics in 2016. Napoleon has now done a CCI** successfully and is fully qualified to run Advanced and CCI***. My newest team member, Wild Duchess, is a class act and ready to push on through the grades in a hurry. She is Intermediate and ready to do a CCI**. These 3 went into quarantine last Wednesday 24th September. They will be released from quarantine on 1st November in Sydney.
1st October, 2014 - TIM RESIGNS AS PRESIDENT OF SYDNEY EVENTING
After a successful 5 year stint as President of Australia's biggest eventing club, Sydney Eventing, I have decided to resign and pass the baton to someone else. During my time as President we have managed to grow our numbers of competitors, grow our revenue, significantly upgrade the cross country and at the same time increased the prize money and prizes across all levels.
Sydney Eventing is unique in that we have very high fixed costs that we need to pay to Sydney International Equestrian Centre so that limits our money making capacity immediately compared to other venues. Being at such a fantastic venue brings many benefits, but this is unfortunately the biggest stumbling block for making this an even bigger event. It is without doubt the best venue in Australia.
I want to take this opportunity to thank my wonderful committee for all their great support, especially the Secretary Rosemary Allen who has been a very hard worker for the club. I wish the club all the best and look forward to many more events at SIEC.
22nd September, 2014 - SUCCESS IN IRELAND
I took my best 3 horses to compete at Ballendenisk near Cork in Ireland last week. Billy was competing at his first CCI*** in 2 years following his injury. He led the dressage on a score of 43 and was fantastic across country and showjumping to finish 3rd. I am delighted with his performance and now look forward to aiming him very specifically at the Rio Olympics in 2016. Napoleon completed his first CCI** to finish 4th. He was 5th after dressage, clear cross country and had 1 very unlucky rail down in the showjumping. He will now head home and target some early season Advanced one day events before deciding which CCI** to run him at. Wild Duchess, the newest member of my team, was super all week and ended up running 3rd in the CCI*. She is a terrific mare with heaps of ability and will now head towards a CCI**.
All in all I was delighted with my 3 and can't wait to run them all again in the new season.
16th September, 2014 - PURCHASE OF WILD DUCHESS
I was very fortunate to find Wild Duchess who was being ridden by one of Australia's leading riders, Chris Burton. He had purchased her in Germany and had produced her very well. She is 8 years old and is a chestnut mare. I know the first thing you learn at pony club is be careful of chestnut mares.......Well, I just had to have this horse! She moves, she is beautiful, she is young, she gallops, she is brave and she likes to win. I can't wait to ride her as she goes through the grades.
15th September, 2014 - LORD LIMMERICK SOLD
It is with great sadness that I can announce today that I have sold Lord Limmerick to Oliver Townend. "Sprout" has been a very successful member of my team over the last 3 years. His most recent win with me was at Wallaby Hill in the Exhibition Eventing in April this year. He actually enjoyed Wallaby Hill very much and managed to win the 2 star at Wallaby Hill 4 times. His other successes were at Sydney, Equestriad and Quirindi. In 2013 he ran 2nd at Melbourne CCI** and subsequently placed at his first 3 advanced runs.
We wish Oli all the best with Sprout.
22nd August, 2014 - EVENTERS IN ENGLAND
GV Billy Elliot has now had 5 runs and is in great shape. He runs this coming Monday at Wellington Advanced in Hampshire. He is heading towards Blenheim CCI*** Sept 11-14.
Lord Limmerick had a busy season in Australia before leaving and has only had 3 runs as he travelled poorly. He is now back in business and runs this coming Monday at Wellington Open Intermediate in Hampshire. He is heading towards Ballindenisk CCI*** Sept 18-21.
Napoleon had a busy season before he left for England and I have taken him slowly so far. He runs at Wellington Open Intermediate on Monday. He is heading towards Ballindenisk CCI** Sept 18-21.

1st July, 2014 - EVENTERS IN ENGLAND
In early June we took a team of horses to Europe for the European summer and autumn to fast track the road to the Rio Olympics . Headlining my team is GV Billy Elliot who has now had a couple of quiet runs in England after a year off. He looks and feels super. He will run at Barbury CIC 2 star this weekend and then head to Aston Advanced, Hartbury CIC 3 star and then Wellington Advanced with his goal being Blenheim CCI 3 star in September. Possibly then on to Pau CCI 4 star. Napoleon who has been in amazing form in Australia has so far been very quiet and hopefully sparks to life this weekend where he also runs at Barbury CCI 2 star in what will be his first run cross country since arriving. He certainly seems back in form.
I travel back and forth regularly to my yard in Wyong between events clocking up many frequent flyer miles. So far so good. I have a sensational team at home who are doing a fantastic job. I stay in touch several times a day by phone and hundreds of emails. There is never a good time to go away but this is probably the best time as all the breakers are now finished .
I will keep you up to date better now with my results.
1st July, 2014 - GROUP ONE WINNERS FROM LIMITLESS LODGE FOR 2013/14
As the season draws to a close and all the group racing is over until next season , it is always a good time to analyse who trained the winners and their origins. Certainly it is interesting to see who and how they were bred, who the jockey and trainer were and from which farms they were prepared. It is interesting to see that history keeps repeating itself . Winners keep winning and winning farms have systems in place to keep producing winners. Confidence comes from success.
There are 70 Group One races run every season in Australia. Limitless Lodge graduates won 12 of the 70 of which we are very proud.
The Group One winners produced from the farm this season were:

5th May, 2014 - WEEKEND WINNERS
We had fewer runners this weekend as it was a stand alone provincial meeting. Nevertheless, Leebaz won the Group 3 Hawkesbury Gold Cup for M, W and J Hawkes in convincing fashion on Saturday. He has now won 6 from 9 and is favourite for the Group 1 Doomben Cup. Leebaz was pre trained, spelled and prepared to race at Limitless Lodge. Leebaz's stable mate Chautauqua won the Group 3 Hawkesbury Guineas very well on Saturday to bring up the feature double for Team Hawkes. Chautauqua was broken in and always pre trains at Limitless Lodge. Both these horses have very bright futures.
On the Gold Coast , the Prime Minister's Cup (Listed) was won by Dances On Stars for trainer Gerald Ryan. Dances On Stars always pre trains and freshens up between runs on the aquaciser. He is a genuine racehorse and has been a terrific money spinner for connections.
15th April, 2014 - WEEKEND WINNERS
The first day of The Championships and there were many winners from the farm. Criterion won the Group 1 Australian Derby for trainer David Payne. Criterion is a beautiful straight forward colt that was broken in and always prepared to race at Limitless Lodge. Peggy Jean won the Group 1 Sires Produce Stakes over 1400m for trainer Gerald Ryan and the team at Triple Crown. Peggy Jean freshened up between runs on the aquaciser at the farm. Sacred Falls won the Group 1 Doncaster Handicap for trainer Chris Waller who also had the first 4 horses over the line. Sacred Falls and Royal Descent both pre trained at the farm prior to this preparation. Let's hope that the second and final day of the Championships this Saturday is as successful!
7th April, 2014 - WEEKEND WINNERS
Mossfun winning the Group 1 Golden Slipper was undoubtedly the highlight of a great day of racing at Rosehill on Saturday. In the lead up to the Slipper, Mossfun kept freshening up after every run on the aquaciser at Limitless Lodge. She would work in the morning and then go to the paddock all day and box at night. It was a huge credit to team Hawkes to win such a big race with such a fragile filly. There will be many more wins for her but for now she is off to the paddock to spell. Catkins, absolutely our favourite mare, won the Group 2 1500m Emancipation Stakes for leading trainer Chris Waller. She justified her short price with a dominant win. At this stage she will progress towards the Group 1 Doncaster this Saturday. Catkins was broken in and always spells and pre trains at the farm. Junoob won the Group 3 Neville Sellwood Stakes over 2000m for trainer Chris Waller. Junoob was pre trained on the aquaciser leading into this preparation.
At a very wet Gosford Guineas Day on Sunday, Limitless Lodge produced 3 winners that handled the conditions well. All were broken in, pre trained and prepared to race at Limitless Lodge. Majorly (Gerald Ryan) and Forster (M, W and J Hawkes) won well but the highlight was Danehill Silence for team Hawkes who won a high quality Maiden. I am certain this tough gelding by Danehill Dancer will measure up to better class
31st March, 2014 - WEEKEND WINNERS
Winners in 3 different countries on the weekend was unusual but satisfying. All were broken in and prepared to race at Limitless Lodge. Sterling City won the $US2million Golden Shaheen for trainer John Moore in Dubai. On this World Cup night meeting which is regarded as the richest and most prestigious race meeting of the year it was a thrill to see the gelding by Nadeem out of So Gorgeous overcome a tough run and win for his Hong Kong connections. In Hong Kong, Gorgeous Debut won for trainer Danny Shum and legendary jockey Douglas Whyte. This son of Exceed and Excel was the sale topper from our draft of horses 12 months ago and has now won 3 races and the Griffin bonus. There will be many more wins in store.
On Saturday at Rosehill, the feature Group 1 Rosehill Guineas was won by Criterion, trained by David Payne and ridden by Hugh Bowman. It was a very dominant 5 length demolition job. He will now press on to Derby as David always said he would. He has always appeared top class and now that they have worked out the best way to ride him, his good record will get even better. He is a lovely straight forward horse and always has been.
24th March, 2014 - WEEKEND WINNERS
Team Hawkes at Rosehill are absolutely flying at the moment with winners galore. On Saturday the team had 2 more Group winners. Entirely Platinum won the Group 3 Sky High Stakes over 1900m. This big strong horse was broken in and is always pre trained and spelled at Limitless Lodge. He looks like a very high class stayer in the making. Traitor won the Group 2 Phar Lap Stakes over 1500m. Traitor, from the very beginning, felt like an exceptional mover with a great attitude. He was broken in and always pre trains and freshens up on the aquaciser at Limitless Lodge. We had a lot of winners at the provincials that were prepared from the farm over the weekend including Red Dubawi (Chris Waller), More Than A Holiday (Chris Waller), Sir Laszlo (Grahame Begg) and Majorly (Gerald Ryan).
The carnival continues at Rosehill this weekend with the running of the Rosehill Guineas. We anticipate having atleast 6 of the runners having been broken in and prepared to race at the farm. We will send through a full list of the runners on Friday afternoon on the website.
24th March, 2014 - FACEBOOK
We are now on Facebook and welcome your feedback.
17th March, 2014 - LORD LIMMERICK WINS AT WALLABY HILL
Lord Limmerick (Sprout) continued his amazing start to the season and indeed his fantastic record at Wallaby Hill. Sprout won the Exhibition Eventing to qualify for Equitana in November. He jumped the only clear round and couldn't have gone better. Sprout has now won a 1 star and three 2 stars and Exhibition Eventing at Wallaby Hill. He probably won't compete at the next few Wallaby Hill events as he will be in Europe.
Winning Exhibition Eventing at Wallaby Hill
17th March, 2014 - WEEKEND WINNERS
Several of our stars were beaten on the weekend unexpectedly. Zoustar, Red Tracer and Snitzerland all bit the dust but will come back stronger next run. We still managed to have many winners from the farm on the weekend. It all kicked off on Friday with Distorted Demand and Wow Factor at Gosford. Both horses were pre trained at Limitless Lodge for Gerald Ryan. London Lolly won at Moonee Valley on Friday night in a 1200m Listed race. She is trained by M, W and J Hawkes. She is the first winning foal of Lovely Jubbly. She was broken in and is always pre trained at Limitless Lodge. On Saturday at Randwick, Junoob (Chris Waller) galloped his way into some of the better races of the carnival by winning the Listed Randwick City Stakes over 2000m. He was freshened up on the aquaciser prior to this preparation. On Saturday at Kembla there were 2 winners that are destined to win better races. Quayside (David Payne) and Passion Cheval (Chris Waller) were both broken in and pre trained at Limitless Lodge.
10th March, 2014 - WEEKEND WINNERS
A very successful weekend for graduates of the farm, headlined by Boban, for trainer Chris Waller, winning the Group 1 Chipping Norton Stakes over 1400m at Warwick Farm. Reunited with Glyn Schofield, Boban bounced back to his best. He was pre trained on the aquaciser before this preparation and during his big Spring Group 1 haul. Catkins (Chris Waller) everyone's favourite horse, won the Group 3 Wiggle Stakes over 1400m at Warwick Farm. She was dominant and is now favourite for the Doncaster. She is a delight to do anything with and always has been. She was broken in and always spells and pre trains at the farm. Terravista won the Group 3 Liverpool City Cup for trainer Joe Pride. Terravista has now built an imposing record and heads towards the Doncaster 1600m Group 1 handicap. Entirely Platinum in the last race provided Limitless Lodge graduates with 4 of the 8 winners. He was strong to the line to win for M,W and J Hawkes. Entirely Platinum was broken in and spells and pre trains at Limitless Lodge. Lucky Raquie won the Listed Black Opal Stakes 1200m at Canberra for my long time supporter Gerald Ryan and Teeley Assets. This big strong filly is now bound for the Golden Slipper. She was broken in and always spells and pre trains at the farm.

It was great to have 2 winners of the big 2 races on Saturday for our 2 biggest trainers. Red Tracer won the Group 2 Millie Fox Stakes over 1300m by 2 lengths for trainer Chris Waller. She is such a genuine mare who always gives her best and relished the wet track. Red Tracer pre trained on the aquaciser, as per normal, before this preparation. She looks and feels as good as ever. Mossfun won the Group 2 Silver Slipper Stakes over 1100m by 4 lengths for trainers M,W and J Hawkes. She was pre trained before this preparation and freshened up on the aquaciser during the preparation. She has now galloped into the top of the betting for the Golden Slipper. She is currently enjoying another freshen up before her next run. She goes on the aquaciser in the mornings and to the paddock all day. This seems to work very successfully for Sydney's leading trainers.
24th February, 2014 – RANDWICK EQUINE CENTRE SUMMER EVENTING CLASSIC
Over 710 horses ran over the week of eventing at Sydney International Equestrian Centre. I am President of the committee and very proud of the job my team did to put on such a polished show. No Doubt we were helped by the weather gods and generous sponsors. The weather remained mild with rain leading up to the event making the ground perfect. The sponsors were generous and enabled us to provide the best ever prizes and prize money ever at a one day event in Australia. Randwick Equine Centre was the title sponsor of the weekend event and Ariat the title sponsor of the mid week event. Our other major supporters were Rosehip Vital Equine and Mitavite. We are delighted to announce that these 4 major sponsors are all returning for our event in July. The 3 star class was a big field and hotly contested. Shane Rose was able to win on CP Qualified, just ahead of Christine Bates and Adelaide Hill. I came 5th on Lord Limmerick and am very proud of his performance. Indeed I am proud of his start to the season. A win and a 2nd at 2 star and a 5th in a 3 star. Napoleon, following his win during the week, again went really well and came 4th in the 2 star. This horse has got untapped potential. I look forward to taking these 2 plus Billy and Star to Europe in the middle of May.

24th February, 2014 – WEEKEND WINNERS
It was a good day for graduates of Limitless Lodge. Terravista won the Group 3 Southern Cross Stakes over 1200m at Randwick. Trainer Joe Pride has got this guy flying and he now boasts a very impressive winning strike rate. He was pre trained on the aquaciser at Limitless Lodge. In the 1400m BM79 Leebaz was successful for M,W and j Hawkes after a daring ride by Corey Brown. This son of Zabeel has a big future ahead of him over the carnival. He clearly is a stayer but being able to win over the sprint journeys fresh in the preparation he can keep winning all the way through to his preferred staying distance. Team Hawkes have done a good job with this horse as he was particularly head strong and difficult as a young horse. Leebaz was pre trained and spelled at Limitless Lodge. Gorgeous Debut won for trainer Danny Shum and jockey Dougy Whyte at Sha Tin on Sunday. That was the second win for the sale topper from the HKIS March 2013. Gorgeous Debut is by Exceed and Excel and was broken in and prepared to race at Limitless Lodge before being exported and sold at auction during the Hong Kong International Sale.

19th February, 2014 - ARIAT SYDNEY SUMMER EVENTING CLASSIC
It was another good day at the office for my team on Wednesday. This time Napoleon turned the tables on his stable mate Lord Limmerick to run 1st and 2nd in the CNC** at Sydney. The event couldn't have been smoother, with great weather and perfect ground on the cross country. Both have pulled up well and will run again on the weekend. Sprout will run at the first 3 star of the season and Oaky will try to consolidate his 2 star performances.
17 February, 2014 - WEEKEND WINNERS
It was a good start to the autumn carnival for graduates of Limitless Lodge. Snitzerland won the Group 1 Lightning Stakes over 1000m at Flemington. This beautiful straight forward mare was broken in at Limitless Lodge and also spells and pre trains at the farm. We were very excited for trainer Gerald Ryan and owner Neil Werrett, who have both been 2 of our biggest supporters at Limitless Lodge. Running 3rd in the same race was Samaready who has also been freshened up at the farm on the aquaciser. I am sure that both of these mares have more Group 1 wins to come for the autumn.
Catkins won the Group 2 Breeders Classic over 1200m at Rosehill for Chris Waller and the Ingham Family. This very straight forward, beautiful mare has been a most consistent winner from the very beginning. She always tries her hardest and is particularly good fresh. She was broken in and always spells and pre trains at Limitless Lodge.
To complete the trifecta of group wins for Limitless Lodge graduates, Moss Fun won the Group 3 Widden Stakes over 1100m at Rosehill for M,W and J Hawkes. Since winning the Inglis incentive in December she has freshened up on the aquaciser and in the paddock at Limitless Lodge. She beat a high class field of fillies and will now head for sure towards the Group 1 Golden Slipper. Running 2nd in the same race was Ygritte for trainer Gerald Ryan. This Snitzel filly was broken in and prepared to race at Limitless Lodge.
10th February, 2014 – PERFECT START TO THE EVENTING SEASON
I only took two horses to Wallaby Hill Horse Trials on the weekend and they ran 1st and 2nd in the CNC**. Obviously a bit rusty for our first run in 3 months but it is always good to come away with a win. Lord Limmerick actually won the Wallaby Hill 2 star for the third time and Napoleon ran 2nd for the second time. Napoleon (Oaky) led the dressage and had 1 down show jumping and cruised around the cross country. He was just touched off for the win by Lord Limmerick (Sprout) who was second after the dressage and went great cross country. These are 2 very classy horses that I have high hopes for. They may only have 2 more runs before I take them to Europe in the middle of May. The firm ground at Wallaby Hill I think is going to be a common theme in this Summer/Autumn eventing season. We have had no worthwhile rain since June 2013. Sydney, coming up in 2 weeks, has received less than 1mm since Christmas Day.

14th January, 2014 – ALL EVENTERS BACK IN FULL WORK FOR THE 2014 EVENTING SEASON
All of my eventers are now back in full work after a good break. It is particularly exciting to have my star, Billy Elliot, back in action. I have a much smaller team this year but it is all class. There is nothing below 2 star level. I will kick off my season as usual at Wallaby Hill in early February before 2 weeks later heading to the Sydney Summer Eventing Spectacular. It is still my intention to campaign a team of 4 horses in Europe from mid May to mid September.

14th January, 2014 – MAGIC MILLIONS 2014
This is the first year in a long time that I haven’t been at the Gold Coast. It turns out that I missed a very strong sale with a very good average and a great clearance. For our leading trainers and owners we have already received 30 yearlings to break in direct from the sale. We already have commitments for a further 16 as they spell at their owners’ properties. We thank Chris Waller, M W and J Hawkes and the Hong Kong Jockey Club for their consistent support and hope that we can break in more stars for them. It will be interesting to see what stars are amongst this year’s batch.
Zoustar was broken in after returning passed in from the sale in 2012 for Rhys and Chloe Smith for $105,000. He was then sold to Iskander Racing and then later sold on to Widden Stud for $20 million.
13th January, 2014 – OFFICIAL PHOTGRAPHS OF THE AUSTRALIAN HKIS DRAFT FOR MARCH 15TH, 2014 SALE
These are the catalogue photos for our team. This is the most exciting team of horses that I have taken to Hong Kong. The Distorted Humor gelding is a sensational horse with an amazing turn of foot. He is 3yo and ready to run. I am bringing up another two 3yo and two 2yo. I look forward to presenting the team at Sha Tin in March. They all go into quarantine on January 27 and fly to Hong Kong on February 17.

6th January, 2014 - MECIR WINS AGAIN
There is nothing like the thrill of a winner. I can assure you that once you have a share of a wining racehorse there is no better feeling and it is addictive. I own 25% of Mecir and he has now more than returned his purchase price with the prospect of much more to come. Mecir has returned in great shape this preparation winning 2 out of 3 starts and being a certainty beaten in the other. Christian Reith rode the perfect race and won easily over 1400m for team Hawkes at Rosehill on Saturday. He is better than his rating suggests and there is still scope to go through the grades. He lines up again on Saturday 18 January over 1400m at Randwick. He should be winning again as he will be down in the weights. Mecir was broken in, spelled and pre trained at Limitless Lodge.
